Young Eyes
As many as one in five school children could have undetected eyesight problems, according to research by he Royal National Institute for the Blind. An RNIB survey of more than 3,000 children found that around 20% needed an eye test but had not received one.
Poor vision means that many children are not able to see well enough to reach their full potential at school. They may also find it difficult to enjoy everyday childhood activities and sports, so their social as well as educational development could suffer as a consequence. That's why regular eye tests for children are essential. Because a child's vision can change more quickly than an adult's, it's important that children's eyes are tested at least once a year. It doesn't matter if they are too young to read as our practice has special equipment that can detect visual problems at any age. Eye examinations for children are free under the NHS.
We specialise in children's eye care and stock a good choice of glasses specifically designed for children. These feature attractive modern styles and children will feel comfortable wearing them. The NHS contributes towards the cost, which means they also offer you excellent value.
At P & A Morgan childrens styles are free of charge following an NHS eye examination.
